Radiant Blossoms

11×14 oil on canvas

We had the pleasure of painting in the Lake Granbury Master Gardens, Friday morning. The temperatures were cooler and it felt great to be outside with friends from the Lake Granbury Art Association. We enjoyed the time together, creating in the gardens.

Burst of Cactus

$450.00

7×14 oil on canvas

I think this painting could cover any Texas corner on a rural country road. I wanted to highlight the effects of the morning sun on a cluster of cacti. It was created with a few brushes and a palette knife. I paint in layers, building up color and texture.

Striking Gold

11×14 oil on canvas

We seized the day and took advantage of the warmer temperatures yesterday. It started out cold, but we were soon peeling the layers. A few of us got and and captures the alluring golden grasses. Set against the blue skies and water they seemed to pop. Spring in January can’t be beat. Now, bring on the rain because we really need it.
