A visit to the The Wildflower Seed Farm is what inspired this painting. I combined it with a warm sunrise and loved the result. This was created with a palette knife and lots of colorful texture.

What a gorgeous landscape! This one stopped me in my tracks. I made the husband do a u turn on this one. This was on our way to work and on a busy road. The rising sun and beautiful flower garden were a show stopper.

I created this in the studio after visiting and painting at the Ft Worth Botanical Garden. It is a great place to paint small color studies. These are one of my favorite flowers to paint. I created this using the palette knife and thick color paint.

I created this at the Ft Worth Botanical Gardens in Ft Worth. I was thrilled to return here again while the iris garden was in full bloom. I met the volunteers that maintain the gardens. They were proud of their garden and happy to see me painting the fruits of their labor. I was so grateful for this to paint in this wonderful garden.

I created this from a couple of small studies I created at Clark Gardens in Weatherford, Texas. I did ramp up the colors and texture. Combining the warms and cool colors together was a balancing act.

I created this with the still-life set up in the sun outside in my garden. The wind was high and it forced the props to shift a bit. It finally evolved into this. We filmed the process so it should be posted on my web site soon.

Fresh flowers and a bath towel motivated this still life painting. I set this up outside and usually use the towel to protect the table. It worked with what I had in mind. These fresh flowers are the first to bloom and remind me spring is near.
