This is my husband's restored 52 Chevy truck. He came along on a paint out with me and the truck was in the perfect setting. I painted and he waited patiently for me. We love to take the truck out on these little adventures.

This peaceful landscape is in the park in Benbrook, Texas. It provides a nice escape from the hustle and bustle of life. I created this with a palette knife and lots of colorful paint.

I try to go to the Ft Worth Botanical Gardens as often as I can to see what is in bloom. The hydrangeas and phlox were glowing in the morning sun on this warm summer day. I painted this with a palette knife and lots of colorful paint.

I am in awe at the amazing color a wonderful sunrise can reveal. Gazing at this warm sunrise is a great way to start the day. #originalart;#oilpainting;#paletteknifepainintg;#sunriseslandscapepainting;artlover;#contemporaryart;#texaslandscape;

I created this from a couple of small studies I created at Clark Gardens in Weatherford, Texas. I did ramp up the colors and texture. Combining the warms and cool colors together was a balancing act.

Our goal for the evening was to witness a beautiful sunset. We live on the lake and it is heavenly to be on the water on as the sun goes down. We were not disappointed!

This is inspired from the wildflower seed farm in Fredericksburg, Texas. The wild flowers were popping with color in the morning sun. Working with reds are always a challenge. Applying different tones of red with the palette knife adds depth and texture. Love the process.
This is the second piece of a diptych. I sold the one on the right. (below). The new owner loved it so much she wanted a second piece. It was a challenge, but I am happy with the results.
I hope she enjoys it as much as I loved creating it.

I created this landscape as a commission. It wasn't going my way so I set it aside. I wanted to jazz it up so, I added the poppies. I love the warmth it creates on this lovely landscape.
The Clouds were the star of this scene. They seemed to glow with the rise of the morning sun. I could not wait to recreate the soft morning light.
