20x20 oil on canvas

I created this from a couple of small studies I created at Clark Gardens in Weatherford, Texas. I did ramp up the colors and texture.  Combining the warms and cool colors together was a balancing act.

I created this with the still-life set up in the sun outside in my garden. The wind was high and it forced the props to shift a bit.  It finally evolved into this.  We filmed the process so it should be posted on my web site soon.

Fresh flowers and a bath towel motivated this still life painting.  I set this up outside and usually use the towel to protect the table.  It worked with what I had in mind. These fresh flowers are the first to bloom and remind me spring is near.
