River Retreat

It’s very exciting to share my painting process with other artist. I was invited to do a demo at Pecan Plantation art group for their monthly meeting. There are many scenic views in this rural community. I have been painting plein air for 20 years and a lot on the river in Pecan Plantation.. My focus for the demo was painting vibrant landscapes with acrylic paint. It was a fun process and one I always learn from. I’ve included a photo from a plein air session when painting on the river. As you can see the photo is hard to read and see any color. That is one of the benefits of painting on location. This was started at the demo and finished up at home.
